Board Meeting Summary from 7th of September 2015
 
  • President Clyde presented the meeting with a draft operational plan for the 2015/16 Rotary year. Its contents were discussed, and draft unanimously endorsed by the Board. Work on the plan is continuing.
  • The meeting discussed ways of increasing membership, including better ways of marketing the Club, publicising guest speakers, and improving the Club’s presence on Social Media.
  • The Board has agreed to continue to refine the format of the Bulletins, which will now be distributed monthly, to be read in conjunction with the weekly updates currently being sent to members by the Secretary.
  • The Board also endorsed “Mater Little Miracles” as the beneficiary of the 2015 Golf Day.
  • The Club will look to strengthen ties with some local schools through Youth Service Director Mike Byrne.
  • Financially, the Club has broken even with respect to revenues and expenses. Some losses have occurred where the Club has failed to get more than 15 attending diner meetings at RQ.
  • RYLA – The Board is looking for nominations for 2016. It is noted that International House may wish to get involved.
  • Rotary Leadership Institute – The Board endorsed sending up to three members to the next district Rotary Leadership Institute Session. The next session was to originally occur on 30 October, but this date will likely change.
  • Next meeting will be on Tuesday 6 October 2015.
